To contribute to the increase of women entrepreneurs and women's employment in Istanbul Bayrampasa and Gaziosmanpasa districts; To ensure that the Circular economy, which has become an increasingly important sector on a global scale, becomes widespread in Istanbul and Turkey, and to increase the share of the sector, to take steps towards international branding of Patchwork culture by combining it with the Circular economy production model, and thus, in line with the 2018 - 2020 design strategy and Action Plan, to ensure that Turkish designs are promoted. Contributing to the vision of becoming a global brand Contributing to the increase of the weight of Patchwork and other Cultural products in the Istanbul economy

Specific Purpose of the Project:

1) Establishing a workshop where women living in Bayrampaşa and Gaziosmanpaşa districts of Istanbul and who are not in employment can benefit free of charge and where the art of patchwork from Central Asia will be combined with the circular economy production model, and within the scope of the project, 48 women will develop their professional competencies in the art of patchwork and provide economic income. to make them part of its power.
2 ) In the field of circular economy, which has become an important sector by developing day by day in the world and provides great benefits both in terms of environment and economy, all non-governmental organizations, especially women's associations, all relevant public institutions, especially the District Governor's Office and the Municipality, and especially in Bayrampaşa district. To create a structured dialogue in which representatives of the private sector, especially textile manufacturers, will come together and cooperate.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT (2021-1-TR01-KA210-ADU-000035064): The starting point of our project was designed in the light of the increasing responsibilities of women in the home due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the new needs emerging in the home economy. In addition to the increasing responsibilities on women in this period, the needs that have the most impact were determined as follows:
1) Due to social isolation and restrictions, the digital environment where individuals can connect with their relatives and access information about the pandemic that affects us globally and its consequences, but many women have deficiencies in using these digital tools.
2) With the increase in the time spent at home during the pandemic, women who manage the dietary habits of families need to share experience and information with their peers about the increased use of food.
3) As a result of direct waste of materials such as paper, plastic, and unused clothing, women do not have the knowledge to use these materials in a way that will support the household economy and meet the needs of their family members.

As a result of these findings, we aim to respond to the needs of women, who are the most fundamental subjects of local empowerment, and to increase the knowledge of women who actively participate in activities in our institutions in areas such as Adult Education and Peer Education. We aim for women who will have the opportunity to develop their own capacities in the 3 areas mentioned, both to use resources consciously to support household management and to be active individuals in constructing the future work of our institutions.
