VERTlife is an informal group based in Groningen, the Netherlands, which aim is to act both in local and European level. It consists of a core of people, joined by many experiences in European educational programs and a common vision: to become responsible citizens for a better society.
The core team of VERTlife informal group gained a valuable experience in European educational programs and in local voluntary programs with groups and associations. They developed projects aiming at a fair use of media and technology for a better involvement of youngsters in the society, such as focus groups, media laboratories, video productions and online campaigns.
They also developed projects aiming to promote the value of intercultural communication through art, to address social issues such as discrimination, tolerance, social exclusion (as described in our objectives and activities) and environmental issues.
They have experience in working with people and with youngsters with fewer oppurtunities through their previous engagements in voluntary works.
“I see green” is a 10 days youth exchange aiming at raising awareness of youngsters on environmental education with the use of audiovisual media as a tool.
Reduce-Reuse-Recycle is a youth exchange focusing on the theme of creative recycling and how this can be used to develop working skills for youngsters.
How can body language,self expression & movement help us overcome fear, intolerance and discrimination and contribute to social cohesion and equality.
