UNISCO – Network per lo sviluppo locale

UNISCO activity is born from the will to join, cooperate and create networks with Apulian, National and Community professionals, agencies and organizations, aiming at creating a network which should contribute to the local development and to the spreading and sharing of good practices in social, economic and cultural fields.
It focuses particularly on young people, so that they should express their capacities, cultivate their dreams and have the right tools to make them come true.
UNISCO aims at creating a strong link with the labour world and contributing in the growth of a “social”
Europe, respectful of the values of the person.
A “social” Europe rising above all from the development of the territory UNISCO belongs to. The Association has moved, in these last years, with this goal, detecting the problems raised as concerning the territory:
integrated training politics as tool of active insertion and/or reinsertion in the labour world, of self-awareness and increase of skills;
youth disadvantage, immigration, social inclusion and the situations of marginality lived in some areas of the modern urban centres.

Situations that are often linked together and to which UNISCO has always tried to answer in an integrated way, spreading it through a strong cooperation with the operators working, from an institutional point of view on the territory (Municipalities, Districts, Associations and Third Sector).
The methods used are both those having a direct impact on the territory and those that indirectly allow detecting and addressing interventions as research projects and analysis of social unease phenomena.
Among those interventions, a very important role has been played by guidance actions in a view of cultural and social growth of the person in the belonging territorial context.
Moreover, UNISCO, through the spreading of the themes and of the principles related to the cultural, economic and social growth of European Union and of Third Countries, aims at favouring:
