Ung i Gjøvik

The unit work with social risk prevention according to drugs, crime, unwanted social behavior and social exclusion among young people in the municipal. We offer advisory to young people and their parents in issues like conflicts within family, education, work and sometimes economic issues.

At the moment there are 9 people engaged, some part time and some full time employed.

The unit also includes a health service for young people trying to prevent unwanted pregnancy and sexual diseases.

Ung I Gjøvik organizes youth clubs, activities such as dans, film/media, concerts, outdoor activities, tours to the mountain, football matches and other cultural happenings for youth in our municipality.

All activities can either be run frequently or as ad-hoc. Activities can be held for one person only, a small or big group, or open for all.

We have participated in several youth exchanges, and one of the staff is a regional contact person for the Erasmus+ Youth in Action program.
