Udruga podravskih studenata

We are the Podravina Students’ Association (UPS), a regional student organisation based in Zagreb, Croatia, continuing an almost century-long tradition of connecting students from the Podravina region.

Although we are newcomers to Erasmus+, our leadership and members already have solid experience with youth, mobility, and volunteering projects at both local and national levels. This background provides us with the competence and motivation to contribute as a reliable partner in future Erasmus+ projects.

Today, UPS brings together more than 130 active members, mostly students aged 18–30, who come from rural areas of northern Croatia. Many of our members face economic obstacles and fewer opportunities, which makes participation in Erasmus+ particularly meaningful to them. At the same time, all our members speak at least one foreign language (mostly English, but also German, French, and Italian), which ensures smooth communication and cooperation with international partners.

Our association is one of the largest regional student organisations in Croatia. We are volunteer-led, yet agile in carrying out projects with limited resources. Over the years we have developed skills in organising events (conferences, debates, concerts, study trips), promoting activities through social media, and managing small-scale budgets.

We are now seeking partnerships within Erasmus+ to apply our experience, energy, and broad membership base to European-level projects. As a youth-driven organisation that combines cultural heritage, solidarity, and international openness, we believe we can be a valuable partner with whom cooperation runs smoothly.
