The Turkish Red Crescent is part of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the world's largest humanitarian network.
Kızılay İzmir / Konak Branch was established on January 15, 2007 to help people in need. Since our establishment, we have been in contact with many people and families in Izmir Konak and province (refugee or indigenous) personally.
İzmir / Konak branch continues its activities for needy people in İzmir with its modern infrastructure, talented staff and volunteers.
One of the most important elements in our organization is our volunteers. Our volunteers are supportive both when we create innovative projects and when we reach more people in the application area of our existing projects. Given these considerations, our club provides an environment that allows volunteers to exchange information that they work together. To our hearts; By engaging in different activities and giving them responsibility; Socialize, increase their self-esteem and prepare for a better life.
As a Turkish Red Crescent Izmir Konak Branch;
- Project Management Trainings and studies,
-Social services and Youth Activities.
-Transfer of second hand clothes and household goods to needy
-The provision of scholarship to the needy students who are in need of education. (The total of 51 needy students studying at various levels in 2016-2017 is 11850 TL per month )
- Providing the first "Social Market" of İzmir to the service of the needy students in İzmir Katip Çelebi University where the members of the Youth Branches are located, with the branch management, the related university rector, youth branches and branches. (Students with a project need are provided free of charge, free of charge, most apparel made of known textile brands.)
- 2016 New Year Party organized as an activity to raise children and raise social awareness in İzmir Child and Youth Co-operative Enforcement Agency within the scope of the disadvantaged group.
The work has been done and is being done.
Only household goods and white goods donated to our branch in 2016 were delivered to 4973 needy families.
Our ambition is to carry out projects within the scope of youth exchange with the self-confidence we have gained from our current structure and with the prestige of the institution's prestige in the world.
