Turkish Red Crescent is a part of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) which is the world's largest humanitarian network.
Turkish Red Crescent İzmir Branch was founded on 28 October 1911, with the aim to help people in need.
In the years of World War II, Turkish Red Crescent İzmir Branch took on significant tasks between England and Italy and played an intermediary role between them by helping the exchange of prisoners of war. Also Turkish Red Crescent İzmir Branch distributed raisin to soldiers.
İzmir Branch with its modern infrastructure, skilled staff and volunteers has been continuing its activities for the needy people in İzmir.
We value our volunteers in our organization. We create an atmosphere where the volunteers work together. We help volunteers to socialize and increase their self-confidence by including them in different activities and giving them responsibilities.
Turkish Red Crescent İzmir Branch provides
-First Aid Trainings,
-Disaster Preparation Trainings,

-It awards scholarship to needy students.
-Our office has been carrying out "Hot Soup Project" by handing out soup to the homeless beside other activities and social responsibility projects.
-On the other hand, we also conduct projects within the scope of European Voluntary Service.
