Tunisian Scout

Tunisian Scout is is a scout association established in 1933 with around 40.000 members. It is a volunteer, non-political and educational movement open for all regardless of origin, race or faith.
The organization aims to contribute to the development of young people in order to realize their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national, and international community.
Tunisian Scout is known by the way the organisation is organized - Children educate and lead other children in the patrol system, and learning-by-doing is the overall pedagogy.
The method is based on a community marked by mutual respect, safety and equality, where you can both discover your own opinion and attain a varied picture of the society.
Tunisian Scout is a part of the worldwide Scouting Movement, WOSM (World Organization of the Scout Movement) with 31 million scouts in 160 countries and WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts). International scouting aims at creating an understanding of other cultures as well as promoting peace and tolerance through our common understanding of the Scouting Aims and Principles.
