Tukuma Sportaskola

We are a self-administered place of education founded with professional aims which gets state financing for teacher-training but maintenance costs of our organization is financed by our self-administration.
Our school employs 1 director and 1 vice-director for teaching work, 3 administrative workers and 18 trainers for 6 different ways of sport: basketball, volleyball, football, track and field athletics, shooting and gymnastics.
All together there are 42 training groups with 476 different aged pupils between 5 and 21 years old. Based on the age training happens between 2 to 5 times per week.
Pupils take part in competitions of different kind of levels in Latvia but also in foreign countries.
It’s the first year that physiotherapists work at our school. They are watching the work in the different training groups. In case of trauma accidents they are conducting individual rehabilitation work with pupils.
