The Group of Secondary Electrical Schools

The Group of Secondary Electrical Schools named after prof. Janusz Groszkowski is situated in Białystok, Poland. It was founded in 1948 and it consists of several schools: four-year Technical Electrical Secondary School based on middle school, which gives professional education and specializes in: IT technician / computer scientist, Electronic/Electrical engineer, Digital graphics designer, technician of teleinformation, three-year Vocational Electrical School No 1 based on middle school, which specialises in: electrician, electronic installer / fitter, electromechanic, three-year Technical Electrical Secondary School No 1 for Adults based on vocational school, which specialises in: electrical engineer, Post-Secondary School No 2 for Adults which specialises in: IT technician / computer scientist, Industrial safety technician.
The school has been located in a modern ,7500m² building since 1995. Students are provided with classrooms and professional laboratories, computer workshops, a library, a multimedia reading-room, an assembly hall. An audio-visual hall, a cinema, a canteen, a complex of gym halls. All these make an excellent base for versatile teaching standards and developing students' skills and interests. High standards of classroom equipment makes both teaching and learning more approachable and pleasurable and, above all, more efficient.
Students get their professional education, improve their skills and broaden their knowledge in both school workshops and production plants during their four-week practical training. Such training is an indispensable part of education in a vocational school. Students achieve very good results in schoolwork. They are the winners of numerous regional and nation-wide competitions in which they are awarded by first prizes. Students take part in such competitions as Electrical and Electronic Competition, Contest of General Knowledge of Technology, Computer Science Competition or Competition of General Knowledge of Inventiveness.
The school participated in numerous international projects (Lenardo da Vinci, Comenius , Erasmus+) and we would like to continue European cooperation in frames of Erasmus + projects.
