TEGV’s educational activities involve programs aimed at developing life skills in children by using child-centered educational methods. Working closely with university partners, think tanks and high-level in-house expertise, TEGV creates programming that:
• Is interesting and enjoyable for children
• Encourages children to be actively involved
• Is enriched by various games and materials
• Is supported by extensive training of volunteers
• Involves careful measurement and evaluation, feeding ongoing revision and innovation of our programming
TEGV implements all of its educational programming through the mobilization of young volunteers. To date, TEGV has worked with over 10,000 volunteers in 81 activity locations to provide educational support to 1.8 million children in Turkey. Our past international partnerships include the International Youth Foundation and current partnership within the UN Global Compact.
