The Dignity Circle — United for Dignity is a coalition of 8 community-based organisations working across 6 Kenyan counties: Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, Taita Taveta, Nairobi, and South Nyanza.
Our Mission: No girl should miss school because of her period.
What We Do:
Distribute Advanced Dignity Kits (disposable pads, reusable pads, menstrual cups, soap, underwear, and emergency contact cards)
Deliver menstrual health education in schools and communities
Train peer mentors to support girls in their communities
Establish Dignity Circle clubs in schools
Build school-based Pad Banks for sustainable access
Engage boys and men as allies
Train girls in advocacy and leadership
Prevent HIV stigma and gender-based violence
Our Reach:
900+ girls reached across 6 counties
8 coalition partners
40+ peer mentors trained
20+ schools engaged
9 leaders
Official Menstrual Hygiene Day Partner (1,400+ organisations worldwide)
Our Vision: We are also building The Dignity Factory — a reusable sanitary pad workshop in Likoni that will create jobs for young women and supply our campaigns at cost, providing a sustainable, community-owned solution to period poverty.
Our Approach: Girls are not passive recipients — they are co-designers, decision-makers, and leaders. We believe in community ownership, shared governance, and transparent accountability
