Technical College “N.V.Karpen”

The Technical College of Communications “Nicolae Vasilescu-Karpen”, Bacau is situated in the centre of Moldova, a region in the North-East of Romania, has a total of 1700 students (between 14 and 18 years old) and classes for adult education (20 to 50+years old) and 76 teaching staff.

The college is an institution with experience of over 42 years in professional training in the communication field, with a constant preoccupation of promoting student-centered innovative didactics and of combining the educational offer according to the job market requirements and the expectations of teenagers attracted to a professional training path in a dynamic domain that has no limit as it is the one of communications.

In the teaching process, their is a major concern for the quality increase in professional education and training, to develop the activities regarding key-competences and transversal ones, which will allow a better mobility and professional insertion.

Regarding the activity domain of the college, the students are trained in the following specializations: communications , automation, computers (hardware and software).

The college is well equipped with the newest technologies and the entire community is constantly concerned with the quality of training and involvement in issues of European interest.

The experience in promoting student-centered innovative didactics in combining the educational offer according to the job market requirements and the beneficiaries’ expectations can be illustrated by: the market requirements, the lifelong training courses based on the local offer, partnership and projects with community institutions and organizations.
