Teatar FEDRA BUGOJNO

Theater FEDRA was founded 23.11.1963. under the name Amateur Theater Bugojno, but since 1989. we work under the name Theater FEDRA, that is in use even today.
This theater has been working as an organisator or as a partner in organization of Festival of Amateur Theaters BiH (today under the name of Theater Festival FEDRA BiH) since the beginning of eighties. Theater FEDRA has been awarded at numberous festivals in BiH and abroad in past ten years. Besides it’s fundamental purpose in creating and playing theater plays, Theater FEDRA has been organizing educational workshops in theater domain, but also in domain of literature, public performance, democracy and basic good communication.
Theater FEDRA has been working and acting trough three main segments, and these are:
- CHILDREN’S SCENE – work with children under the age of 14
- YOUTH SCENE – high school age
- ADULT’S SCENE – youth older than 19 and other citizents
Art Council of the Theater has been leading the artistic segment of work and act of this theater and it has the obligation to report to the Governing Board and to the Assembly of FEDRA.
Among the regular organization and partnership in organization of two state festivals, and work on the constant production of the new plays in the past years, Theater FEDRA has successfully implemented several projects such as for example:
- 2010 - “Do theater – go ahead” project, funded by UNDP
- 2007 - 2009. – “ Little scool of acting” project, funded by Municipality of Bugojno
- 2009. - “Waiting for Marchelo” project, funded by Ministry of Civil Affairs BiH
- 2012. – 2013. – “THE COLOR OF BLOOD AND LOAM” project, funded by Embassy of the United States of America in Sarajevo
The main power of our theater are people that lead and volunteer in Theater. Those are mainly high-educated people from different fields of profession, so the problems or obstacles that we often have to deal with, we can overlook from various aspects and views and easily get to the quality solutions.
We have sufficient technical equipment needed for dealing with this kind of performing arts. Our vision and mission is further empowering and in a way, institutionalizing of the Theater, as well as winning over even greater number of young people in order to make them do this kind and form of theater, and also make them express their attitudes and quality complete their life, as well as the life of every part of the Bugojno society and society of BiH.
