Bolu Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry is a public authority operating under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye. The institution is responsible for implementing national agricultural and rural development policies at provincial level and for supporting farmers, cooperatives and rural communities.
The Directorate actively works in the fields of sustainable agriculture, rural development, food safety, environmental protection, climate-friendly farming practices and the development of medicinal and aromatic plants. Women farmers, women-led cooperatives and disadvantaged rural groups are among the priority target groups of the institution, with the aim of increasing their participation in value-added agricultural production and entrepreneurship.
Bolu Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has experience in coordinating and participating in national and EU-funded projects, including Erasmus+, IPARD, FAO and other international cooperation programmes. The institution cooperates closely with research institutes, universities, NGOs, cooperatives and local authorities to ensure knowledge transfer, test innovative practices and promote lifelong learning in rural areas.
Aligned with the European Green Deal, the Directorate supports the promotion of low-water, climate-resilient crops, sustainable land use and environmentally friendly production models. Through training activities, pilot implementations and international cooperation, the institution contributes to rural innovation, skills development and the integration of traditional knowledge with modern agricultural techniques.
