Founded in 2003 in Baku, "Support for Solidarity People" Public Union (GTDIB) is a non-governmental, non-profit youth organisation registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan (No. 1103-Q1-1443). GTDIB supports young people from disadvantaged and rural backgrounds to access education, vocational training, public visibility and economic opportunity, and provides social services to vulnerable citizens (elderly, people with disabilities, low-income families).
Over more than two decades, GTDIB has empowered 700+ rural youth and reached 10,000+ beneficiaries across Baku and the regions of Ganja, Sheki, Sumgait, Masalli, Yardimli, Shamakhi, Ismayilli and Qabala, with at least 50% female participation in all projects. Since 2003 the organisation has implemented 200+ projects, primarily funded by the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation and the State NGO Support Agency.
Main fields of activity: youth work and non-formal education (ages 18-30), media and information literacy, women's entrepreneurship and vocational training, digital communication and CSO capacity-building, social inclusion of vulnerable groups, and cross-border youth cooperation.
GTDIB is registered in the EU Erasmus+/ESC Organisation Registration system (OID: E10439176) and is Horizon Europe LMIC auto-eligible. The organisation is currently a partner in Erasmus+ KA152 youth exchange consortia coordinated from Latvia and Cyprus, and is actively building partnerships under Erasmus+ KA1/KA2 and the European Solidarity Corps. We welcome partnership requests for Youth Exchanges, Volunteering Activities, Training and Networking, Capacity Building and Strategic Partnerships.
