Suncokret Centre for Community Development

Suncokret Centre for Community Development is a Croatian non-profit NGO founded as a responce to the psychosocial needs of a postwar rural community. Through our projects and programs we aim to address the negative psychological, social and cultural consequences of this rural postwar area. We aim to improve the overall quality of life of refugees and returnees, to promote social inclusion, community rebuilding, support sustainable democratic civil society. We aim to promote volunteerism, introduce new educational opportunities and provice a variety of activities, increase access to information and opent the community to new developmental trends. We work towards minimizing social exclusion, and promote a culture of tolerance and reconciliation.
