Students union of Serbia

Students union of Serbia is only independent umbrella student network in Serbia, non-profit, non-political organization which geathers local and university unions from whole Serbia, founded in 1998. in indefinite time to achieve the objectives in the field of creating new opportunities and better envirnoment for empowering youth students. Capacity building is one of ours key activities since network was founded. In last 3 years we started innovative and unique concept of youth creative centre in whole Balkans.

Organization activities of hosting organization
- Students union of Serbia invest majority of its resources into rising capacities of youth and student organizations to be able to bring their activism to organizational and financial sustainability.
- Our organization was involved in almost all public policies making processes on youth, students, education and volunteering in Serbia since 1998.
- Raising awareness of youth and students on importance of sustainable development and cooperation, unevrsal human rights.
- Students union of Serbia is puting its efforts and resources to promote postitive values among youth as well as the need to be flexibile, proactive and innovative in order to selfemploy and rise their employability and improve future careers.

Membership and partnership of hosting organization
Our organization was founder of Umbrella network of youth organizations in Serbia, Mediterranean network of students, South-east european network of students, Union of Student media in Serbia and few others. Beside mentioned networks, Student union is member of European student union which consist from more than 15 million students across the Europe. Also our organization has partnership network consisting from organizations from all continents.

The objectives of the association are related to: raising educational and cultural awareness, raising capacities of member and partnering youth and student organizations, participation in humanitarian action type, the protection of human rights, the promotion of education, science and information, the impact on local and national policy development, development of local communities, the impact on youth policy, promotion of youth activism, civil society capacity building, networking with organizations and associations that promote the same or similar goals at home and abroad, promotion of all activities of our network.
