Students League of Faculty of Mechanics of Timisoara (LSFMT)

Overview
Student League of the Mechanical Faculty Timisoara (LSFMT) is the first student organization, founded in December 18, 1989, obtaining legal personality on February 19, 1990.
LSFMT is a non-governmental, apolitical organization that aims primarily representing the rights and interests of students by specific means and through its representatives in various forums such as:
• Student Council
• Mechanical Engineering Faculty Council
• Polytechnic University Senate
• Convention of the Polytechnic Student Organizations
• National Alliance of Student Organizations in Romania

The main activities are:

• representing the interests of students and relationships with local and central authorities
• organizing youth activities for youth and youth support
• involving young people, especially of students in community life
• provide a complementary non-formal education formal education of students, both members of the organization and youth in general
• involving students in scientific research
• editing various publication for students and also for youth in general
• the development of relationship between student organization from our country and from abroad using the principle of solidarity, without any political, ideological or religous restraint and to defent their interest
• to inform students about the different ways to obtain an academic scholarship
• to organize work fairs for the final year students and beyond
• to develop actions designed to empower young people's citizenship
• to organize of events that promote sport
• informing students through our publication portal „Student Courier” – www.lsfmt.ro
• broadcasting informative shows through RadioM, our radio station which momentarely has closed circuit and „serves” approximately 4000 students
