Student Organization of the University of Ljubljana

Student Organization of the University of Ljubljana is a community that represents the rights and interests of students of the University of Ljubljana. It stands for their realization and provides qualitative studies as well as a varied student life. ŠOU of Ljubljana represents interests of students, carries out extracurricular activities and leads the student politics in the fields of education, social and economic circumstances of students and international cooperation.

We are the biggest student NGO in Slovenia, consisting of more than 50.000 students. Our programmes are focused on many fields concerning student behalf, from education, music, media, leisure activities, sports, social benefits to youth employment.

SOU of Ljubljana performs the following tasks and activities:
• represents interests of students and stands for their realization in the fields of higher education, student social assistance, health and civil society initiative,
• It organizes and carries out activities for students and supports their activities in the fields of culture, education, sports, social services, health, civil society initiative, international cooperation, technical culture, environmental protection, tourism, publishing, public media and other fields of interests of students.
