Stowarzyszenie Unia Izerska

Unia Izerska (the Izery Union) is an assiociation that gathers people inhabiting the area of the Izery mountains, on the border of Lower Silesia and Upper Luzyce. The aim of this organization is to create, inspire and suport civil and educational activities. We also promote and rediscover national heritage of the region by supporting local culture and art or protecting cultural goods and tradition. Activating local youth and inviting young people from abroud to our region enables development of local society and promotion of cultural heritage of the region. We are inclined to make the Wolimierz Station, which is already one of our centers, a place of creative gatherings, discussions and performances; that is teeming with life and energy. At Wolimierz Station (old train station, nowadays- home for puppet theatre "klinika lalek", gallery, alternative culture centre) we are realizing idea of transforming time into space, by work, creating art and meeting of people from all over the world.
