The Morena Association is a ngo which increasing the activism in social and civic life of children, youth and youth leaders (e.g. by organizing meetings with youth in their schools) and since 2005 we have been developing our regional European Youth Information Network called "Eurodesk Pomerania" (at this moment it is the biggest Eurodesk Net in Europe - actually we have more than 20 points associated in Pomorskie Region); European Commission information point - Europe Direct Gdansk, since 2016 we have a Regional Center for International Debate, where they share information and provide educational activities for the region's community on issues related to the EU and Polish foreign policy and organize debates;
Another our goal is to support young people in developing new skills, creativity, increasing their employability and building respect to the traditions in a non-formal way - this aim is valid not only for Polish young people, but for other European young citizens as well: by hosting and sending EVS volunteers.
We provide complex support to youth leaders, scout movement and youth organizations by information, financial support (Pomeranian Youth Found, Incubator and social accumulator) and trainings for equalizing educational opportunities for pupils and students with special educational needs (From 2017, together with Gdańsk Municipality and three other organizations introducing the educational programme for 16000 youngsters co-funded from Regional Operational Fund, ESF) as well as we support teachers in creating first aid student groups, we introduce maritime education classes, we teach pupils to set up student cooperatives, we conduct competence workshops for teachers.

Established in 2002, Morena Association in Gdansk is a non-profit non-governmental organization that have several aims for its activities, mainly focused on young people and youth leaders from Pomeranian region:
1) increasing the activism in social and civic life of children, youth and youth leaders (e.g. by organizing meetings with youth in their schools)
2) encouraging young people to develop their creativity and to build respect to the traditions (e.g. by running, since 2003, training regional center of ”Youth in Action” Program)
3) providing promotion of youth information - since 2005 we have been developing our regional European Youth Information Network called “Eurodesk Pomerania” (at this moment it is the biggest Eurodesk Net in Europe - actually we have 32 points in Pomerania region). Moreover we also run European Commission information point - Europe Direct Gdansk. In both information points we held consultation for young people and for those who are looking information (eg. connected with European funds).
4) provide complex support to youth leaders and youth organizations by information, financial support (Pomeranian Youth Found) and trainings.
Our organization also:
- helps unemployed people by running the Center of Social Integration in Osówek (on the south of our voivodeship).
- supports non-formal groups organizing different kind of activities for scouts movement - working next to our association.
- provide learning opportunities for elderly by running, from 2013, the programme ASOS (Aktywności Społecznej Osób Starszych - Social Activities for Senior).
1 EVS volunteer will take part in an approved project. Main role for him/her will be designer and creator of a network of people sharing their own skills.
