Społeczna Akademia Nauk (University of Social Sciences) – Top-ranking private University is one of the leading private universities in Poland having 15.000 students and over 500 academic staff. There are 18 departments, including Language Studies, Culture Studies, Management, Pedagogy, Psychology, Sociology, and IT studies. Some of the specializations at Management and Pedagogics faculties are Psychology of Management and Vocational Counselling, Human Resource Strategies, etc. We run also post-graduate studies on vocational counseling. Within our University, there is a Center for Self-Development (vocational counseling aimed at defavoured groups of the society) and Academic Career Office playing the role of vocational and career guidance. A lot of our activities are based on close collaboration with actors of the VET sector, for whom we organize training and studies. Apart from the main activity, the University is a significant institution of persistent adult education (LLL) offering different courses for adults. Thanks to our Polish Open Academy we offer study programmes via the Internet as well. Our task is to support traditional lectures and trainings as well as promote modern teaching methods. We are the competence center for methodology, technology, and organisation of eLearning.
