SOCAIL COHESION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP ASSOCIATION

- The Social Cohesion and Entrepreneurship Association is a humanitarian organization founded in 2022 in Şanlıurfa, Turkey by a group of migrant and local youth. Our main objectives are to foster social cohesion between migrants and the local population through integration and social entrepreneurship projects. To achieve this, we host events, workshops, and training sessions, as well as conduct research to raise public awareness.

- Our aim is to promote a culture of inclusivity and encourage social acceptance among diverse groups. We provide entrepreneurship training and workshops to individuals who face limited opportunities, and organize projects and training programs to promote women's employment. We collaborate with other organizations, associations, and foundations in this field to create impactful projects.

- Our association also organizes social entrepreneurship training programs to raise awareness of social entrepreneurship and contribute to social cohesion. We organize awareness activities and events that promote environmental protection, including seminars, meetings, and conferences both locally and abroad. Our activities are inclusive and non-discriminatory, regardless of factors such as language, religion, race, gender, age, disability, or political opinion.

- We have a three-year history, beginning as a youth group in 2019. Prior to the pandemic, we organized projects and activities for disadvantaged migrant children in partnership with non-governmental organizations in Şanlıurfa. We also created youth projects to promote intercultural awareness and encourage young people to learn about different cultures, forming friendships and coexisting in a shared environment. Our outreach activities include seminars with women and children.

- We are also involved in integration and inclusion programs for refugees and asylum-seekers. As part of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, we implemented various youth exchange projects both locally and internationally. These include the "WE ARE ALL MIGRANTS" and "UNITY IS STRENGTH" projects in Sanliurfa, the "KNOW ME BY MY ABILITIES NOT MY DISABILITY" project in Italy, the "PAINT YOUR FUTURE GREEN" project in Sanliurfa, the "ART UNITES US" project in Sanliurfa, and the "INVESTIGAR NUESTRO PASADO, CONSTRUIR NUESTRO FUTURO" project in partnership with Spain.

-Our association also has a women's initiative, "Knitting For Hope," which is a social entrepreneurship project that provides employment for Turkish and Syrian migrant women. We raise awareness with our women-only team and provide positive interaction in the process of adaptation to living together. Our motto is "Women Knit Their Futures with Hope," and for each product purchased, we give an amigurumi toy to a refugee child.
