SMART Education and Youth Association was founded in Izmir, the western side of Türkiye, by a group of young educators who adopted the slogan "Youth First, Education First".
Our experienced and passionate team, whose paths intersect with projects, aims to increase the number and quality of local, national and international projects in our region, especially the European Union, to support our educators and young people in the projects prepared, to encourage quality and professionalism in project management, to provide new ideas and practices in the field of project management.
Our NGO aims to establish forums, platforms, cooperation networks that will provide solutions, and to provide information flow and cooperation among the participants, and to improve the prestige, expertise and pioneering position of the members in project management methods and practices.
The aim of our association is to strengthen the youth, especially the disadvantaged youth, to develop their capacities, to support them to be individuals who research, produce and have a sense of responsibility, and to make decisions on issues that concern them, by producing innovative and alternative projects with activities to be organized in local, national and international fields on and international levels within the framework of national and international conventions. We aim to contribute to this process by developing an awareness of active participation, democracy and reconciliation of young people in the formation of a holistic youth policy locally and nationally We work to carry out studies to eliminate the disadvantages of children, young people, disabled people and women who have various disadvantages, to make medium and long-term plans and practices to eliminate gender discrimination, to improve their individual decision-making abilities by revealing the entrepreneurship and dynamic identities of young people, to enable them to take part in scientific, technological, artistic, social and cultural activities, primarily disadvantaged youth. In order to contribute to the social, cultural and economic development of the region, by producing innovative and alternative projects for the public benefit with inclusive education, cultural and social content for all different need groups, especially the youth, women, children, disabled, convicts, poor and students; especially to increase the employability of young people and to accelerate their integration into social life. Smart NGO creates areas of interest and interest where young people and youth organizations can transfer their dynamism and energy, and to develop partnerships with public institutions, high schools and equivalent schools, local governments, private sector representatives and other non-governmental organizations in this regard. We also work in the field of Vocational Education. As our NGO mostly have teacher members, we work to contribute to the development and dissemination of vocational and technical education. By using information and communication technologies effectively and to contribute to the development of digital skills of young people and educators and teachers. To make young people aware of the "Sustainable Life" Principles and "Green Skills", and to create awareness and sensitivity for ecological life in young people; To offer solutions to the problems that arise as a result of the irreversible deterioration of ecological balances, to support a life in harmony with nature and the environment. Our association is also involved in the development processes of young women; strengthen their social status in the family and society, to increase their entrepreneurial skills and to increase their influence in decision processes.
