Sigma Development Center

Sigma Development Center was founded in 2010 from the will to create a healthy society by educating the individuals to become healthy on all the aspects of their lives, physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. By creating a change in how individuals think and behave, we can make a change in the society we are living in.
The objectives of our NGO are developing social, humanitarian and community programs; encouraging social inclusion; developing actions meant to promote and sustain the civil rights and interests; promoting social, cultural and artistic activities; facilitating the youth mobility; supporting social programs regarding public education; educating children and youth in order for them to develop pro-social behaviors; promoting pro-active lifestyle through voluntary actions; providing support for unemployed young people through counseling and mediation; providing social services for disadvantaged people; stimulating self-knowledge for every individual, in other for him to understand himself and find his own role in the community; stimulating self-control, tolerance and understanding and accepting others; raising awareness of the individual role in society and encouraging active participation of citizens in community life; contributing to the sustainability of the local community; protecting the environment.
The objectives of the organisation are achieved through activities we have organised in the last 4 years-voluntary actions for disadvantaged people; voluntary activities aimed to help mentally challenged people and to prevent social exclusion; professional training courses for the unemployed meant to facilitate their social inclusion; round tables and discussion on civil society themes and voluntary activities which encourage pro-active behaviors; evaluation, counseling, group and individual therapy, vocational orientation, personal development courses for adults; personal development courses for children and youth; organizing awareness-raising seminars, conferences and workshops; team-building and professional support groups; artistic and cultural training courses, workshops and activities meant to help the personal development of individuals; weekly work-groups based on personal development themes. All of these actions were aimed to create a change in how individuals act towards others and towards the society and to generate behaviors such as social inclusion, to highlight the importance of pro-active participation, to generate and develop non-violent behaviors in children, youth and adults.
