Samara Regional Public LGBT movement "Avers"

Samara Regional Public LGBT movement "Avers" is committed to provide services related to human rights support, psychological support, integration and establishment of gender equality for LGBTIQ people and young people.
We have a team of motivated youngsters who are interested in the topics of community-based theater, self-reflection through art and active citizenship.

Our Goals:

• Recognition and respect by the state of the rights and freedoms of LGBT, as a social group.
• Creation of conditions for social adaptation of LGBT community and its involvement in the different forms of civil activity.
• Recognition by society of danger and social unacceptability of a homophobia and transphobia as forms of xenophobia.

Our Tasks:

• To provide and distribute reliable scientific information about homosexuality, bisexuality and a transgend identity.
• To carry out monitoring of discrimination upon sexual orientation and gender identity in the Samara region.
• To realize the social and legal services and programs directed to protection of the rights and freedoms of humans and citizens.
• To develop the civil institutes helping to overcome discrimination and violations of the rights of citizens on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
• To promote social activity of LGBT youth.
• To promote humanistic education of society.
• To promote respect for human rights in the sphere of the gender relations, and to achievement of gender equality in our society
• To promote prevention of socially dangerous diseases (HIV, STD).
