Regional NGO Resource Centre

The mission of The Regional NGO Resource Centre is to provide information disseminations, training, consulting and technical assistance and networking services to NGOs.
Through pilot projects our organization developed specific resources in order to support the youth entrepreneurship and the social entrepreneurship. Such resources regards researches, planning of education methods and tools, training courses design, counselling youth in order to make their best choice in terms of personal and professional development, counselling organizations (both public and private ones) to develop their own programs meant at the social and professional integration of youth (with a special focus on disadvantaged like disabled, young rroma minority and rural youth).
Last projects relevant to the topic (financed through Youth in Action program and the human Resource development program):
- Promoting the protected workshops as strategy for the social and professional integration of disabled, and training courses addressed to NGOs and companies in order to develop social businesses in the context of the Romanian legal framework;
- Peer to peer mentoring program in three orphanages in order to develop youth motivation for social integration of youngsters
- Counselling program addressed to the school students in the rural area in order to plan and start small business based on the rural resources available in their own communities;
- Research and counselling services addressed to small and medium sized companies in order to plan and run apprentices programs for youth in the rural area;
- Counselling services supporting rural youth in order to access the labour market (non agriculture jobs).
We also have experience in the field of non formal education. Through a YiA project, we developed a system of evaluation, validation and certification of competences achieved through volunteering activities.
We have a volunteering department that is recruiting 50 to 100 young volunteers each yea. They are trained in order to activate in our organization or other organizations.
We have the necessary infrastructure for information dissemination and communication (office@centras-constanta.ro, www.centras-constanta.ro, face book account); we organize the the Regional NGO Forum; we are member of the Romanian volunteering organizations; we are member of the European Federation of Mentoring for Girls and Young Women - WOMENTOR.
Peer mentoring is a methos currently used by our organization in order to build up values and competences to our young beneficaries.
