The aim of Re:Creativity is to put enviroment and sustanibility in a shape where people can understand and connect to their daily life. These concepts – such as sustanibility or enviromental changes – are part of our life and gets more and more attention but many time people – particulary kids - do not know what to do with it.
Our mission is to transfer these exclusive concepts into objects with a lot of creativity and joy. During our workshops we create wallets from empty juice and milk boxes (tetrapak boxes), folders and notebook cases from plastic bags, earrings and cases from plastic bottles, etc.
In this way we give a new life to these materials. Our aim is to create something useful and deisgned. Our experince shows that kids and teenagers get more involved in the topic of recycling and environment through creative activities. They are involved of the process from the beginning and in this way they build up a personal relationship with the objects. In the meanwhile it developes their creativity and flare their knowledge in this theme.
This method is based on non-formal learning process and it is called experimental learning. These interactive tasks help them to put together knowledge and practice so further on they can use it in their everyday life.
Our main activities are:
- international youth exchanges and trainings
- local intitiatives with young people
- creative workshop series, short term creative workshops in festivals, schools, different events
- participation in design markets in and around Hungary
In the 10 days long program there are creative workshops, team building and communication excesies. In the end participants organize their own open workshops.
