Rada mládeže Prešovského kraja / Youth Council of Prešov Region

Youth Council of Prešov Region (RMPK) is voluntary and independent civic association - an umbrella organization of 13 youth organizations. The main aim of the organization is to represent, promote and defend the interests of young people in the Prešov region as a partner in the field of youth policy for local and regional self-government, state government and other institutions.

Our target groups are: young people (13 to 30y); members and coordinators (teachers) of the youth school councils; members and coordinators of municipal youth parliaments and rural youth parliaments, youth workers and members and coordinators of the civic youth associations.

The main activities of RMPK include nonformal eduacation, trainings and seminars, interactive workshops, conferences, policy making process and advocacy.

Our main fields of interest are: local and regional youth policy and participation, active & democratic citizenship, student youth councils, youth parliaments, human rights and volunteering,

The main aims of RMPK are:
to bring regional and local youth policy into effect;
to represent the interests of youth organizations - RMPK members;
to develop and practice nonformal youth education
to encourage active participation of youth and to actively cooperate with partner organisations and institutions in Slovakia and abroad.

In the cooperation with the Department of Education of Prešov self-governing Region, we created first comprehensive regional strategic document for youth - Strategy for youth for years 2015 – 2020, with regard to 2025.
