Raíces Libres

We are four friends from small rural towns in Cantabria and Valladolid (Spain), connected by our passion for nature, well-being, sustainability and digital disconnection. After years of international experiences, we’ve decided to create an informal group to contribute actively to the Erasmus+ community and launch projects with real impact.

These are the topics we deeply care about and actively explore in our lives:

- Nature & Sustainability: We are passionate about promoting a more conscious, sustainable lifestyle that is respectful of natural cycles.
- Digital disconnection & well-being: We believe in the power of slowing down and being present. We aim to create spaces where young people can reflect on their digital habits and find more meaningful ways of using technology without losing themselves in it.
- Rural empowerment: Being from smaller cities and towns, we feel deeply connected to the world outside big urban centers. We want to fight rural depopulation and bring creative energy back to smaller communities, showing that the rural world is full of life, opportunities, and potential.
- Creativity: We believe creativity is a powerful tool for transformation. Whether through art, storytelling, movement or crafts, we use creative methods to engage, express, and connect.
- Youth participation & Erasmus+: Erasmus+ changed our lives. Now we want to offer that same spark to others by organizing local activities and being an active partner in European youth mobility projects.

What we want to do
- Collaborate with other organizations as a partner in Youth Exchanges and local follow-up activities.
- Support with participant recruitment in Spain, especially among youth with fewer opportunities or from rural areas.
- Bring fresh, creative ideas and design workshops or sessions on our areas of expertise (nature connection, digital balance, creativity, self-expression, rural innovation...)
- Organize local events in Cantabria and Valladolid to engage young people and spread Erasmus+ values.
