Profisousa is an association without profit intentions, which has a great experience in professional education and adult education. Our vocational school offers different courses, namely: Sociocultural Animation and Fashion Design.
Besides Profisousa have a great history in adult education issues, in the field of recognition of competences and also in training and research for scientifical studies.
Profisousa also has a Third Age University, which offers seniors over 50 different learn possibilities and an Europe Direct, that acts in our region as a link with the European Institutions for the different European issues, giving citizens more information about European integration and about the presence of the EU in their lives.
Brief Presentation of Escola Profissional Vértice
Escola Profissional Vértice is a vocational school which is part of PROFISOUSA - an association without profit intentions, which has a great experience in professional/vocational education. Our vocational school offers different courses for youths (age ranges from 15 up to 21) seeking to finish their basic and secondary education, namely: Sociocultural Animation Course, Furniture Design Course, Fashion Design Course, Wood work transformation Course. Much of our success comes from applying a national education policy towards vocational education and the learning of professional skills to help students find a better place in their future professional lives, and teaching by a hands-on practice focused on the learning of skills. We hope to disarm the idea of vocational education as a "last chance" to finish school but as a first choice to guarantee academic success, as well as youths' sense of purpose and will to learn. By participating in pan-European projects and seminars our aim is to contact with different approaches involving education and practice policies as well as providing our pupils with projects that will enrich their world knowledge and strengthen their European citizenship.
