Prof. Dr. Orhan Oguz Anatolian High School

Prof. Dr. Orhan Oguz Anatolian High school is situated in the center of Eskişehir. It was founded in 1972 with the name of Bahçelievler High School. In 2005 with the decision of Ministry of Education it was turned into a Anatolian High School,Since its foundation, it has laid special emphasis on social, sporting and cultural activities. The school has received many trophies and awards owing to these activities. That the student folk dance ensemble performed in national and international folk dance festivals and had a grand award in 1982 is one of the great success of the school. In addition, our school music group joined a national song contest last year and was chosen as the best performing group.Beside music and dance activities the students and teachers stage a theatre play from world literature every year and join a theatre festival which is held among the high schools of Eskişehir. Our students and teachers won many awards in this festival such as best director, best actor-actress and best music.Also, the school showed considerate success in volleyball, table tennis, chess and athletics fields. In addition to these social and sportive activities our school prepared a Commenious Project called ‘Hunting for Treasure’ in which we worked with students and teachers from Romania, Spain, Italy and Slovakia in 2010. Another project of our school is KA1 named "Avrupayı Yakalıyorum" by which our teachers attend training courses in different areas in Europe. Lastly with our TUBITAK project in Phsychology our school was chosen as the regional top scoring school and deserved to join final elimination in Ankara.
