Peer Educators Network-PEN

Peer Educator Network (PEN) is a non- governmental and non-profitable youth organization that aims to promote youth active citizenship as a tool of fulfilling community needs.
PEN has the status of an NGO working all over Kosovo, with headquarters in Prishtina. PEN has a hierarchical structure with 15 workers and its board of directors. PEN is active in 29 municipalities in Kosovo and has more than 1500 volunteers/peer educators, which are represented by Municipal Coordinators at PEN Council.
Purpose of PEN volunteers is promotion of peer educational concept as access of youth education and information with a special focus in informing youth about causes, consequences and prevention of: HIV/AIDS, STD and unplanned pregnancy, promotion of life skills and health education, tobacco, drugs abuse, prevention of trafficking Human beings, stopping violence, promotion of European integration process and regional cooperation, promotion of cultural diversity and environmental protection.
PEN’s volunteers also are involved in Media Campaigns, researches on the fieldwork, in actions and project services inside schools, cities; they are part of youth activism campaigns, different kind of art, music, drama events.
