The scalable P2EI model is a visionary initiative aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and enhancing employability within the education sector. Its primary objective is to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among individuals of all ages, from adults to children and young people. P2EI thrives on collaboration with like-minded partners who share a common commitment to empowering young people and addressing the challenges faced by those at a social disadvantage.
In the backdrop of the pressing youth crisis confronting the European Union and the global community, P2EI steps forward to confront the socioeconomic and political complexities that beset member states and economies, both developed and developing. This innovative model is designed to provide practical solutions and resources for a diverse range of target audiences, including school leavers, newcomers, young political asylum seekers, and unaccompanied minors. As the specter of technological unemployment looms large and labor market absorption rates decline, there is a growing need for models that harness digital solutions.
Building upon the insights gathered from the HyperVoice project's datasets, the P2EI project team conducted a comprehensive needs analysis. This analysis shed light on the perspectives of young individuals aged 18-25 concerning the state of the planet, their dedication to addressing climate change and the UN 2030 Sustainability Goals, as well as their readiness for the future workforce.
P2EI aims to mobilize a community-based ethos of social action and citizenship among youth. By doing so, it empowers them to actively engage with the green agenda within their respective countries, becoming key players in the green revolution and contributing to the achievement of the UN 2030 goals.
Central to the P2EI model are the "360 concepts," which involve young people in completing an "Employability Skills Audit" and the initial creation of their Youth Employability Skills (YES) passport. This process includes participation in various employability pathways such as "Employability through Social Enterprise," "Employability Through Sport," InternZone, and Planet Employability. The innovative "Your Life is Your Business" tool enhances youth engagement and employability.
P2EINT also extends its support to initiatives like eSports for employability and STEM4Tech Applied Futurology. Moreover, it actively participates in programs like Green Skills 4 Youth, Youth Cyber Security Academy, AI-Enhanced Quality Assurance for Turkish Higher Education Institutions, the IDEAL project, and Signing Banks—each endeavor contributing to the holistic development of individuals and communities.
Emphasising the need to ensure all individuals, regardless of their background, have the adequate digital skills required to operate functionally and successfully in the workplace of the 4th Industrial Revolution, P2EINT successfully secured AI-Mark Youth, a project for youth skills development in the area of AI and digital marketing. In the more digitally advanced countries and regions, youth have more access to comprehensive AI-related training and resources opportunities, enabling them to excel in the digital marketing landscape. However, in less developed areas and among youth with fewer opportunities, access to such training remains limited, resulting in a digital skills gap. The AI-Mark Youth project provides training in Digital Marketing fundamentals, AI Technology in Digital Marketing, AI Tools for Content Creation/Augmented Reality Marketing, and Gamification in Digital Marketing. The project aligns with the core values of the EU, such as inclusivity, equal opportunities, and social cohesion.
P2EINT’s flagship STEM4Tech Applied Futurology project has additionally achieved support for extended mobility which elevates the quality and relevance of STEM education, ensuring it aligns with current, emerging and future technological trends across diverse sectors and actively promotes the integration of problem-solving, inquiry and design thinking with technological innovation and the achievement of multiple UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Furthermore, STEM4Tech provides a collaborative environment where young individuals can engage with educators, industry experts and peers to work on STEM-related projects and challenges, as well as to engage in cultural exchange, understanding, tolerance and localised contextual situations and their relevance in addressing universal challenges.
Through its extensive partnerships, P2EINT targets marginalized community niches and areas of acute need, such as working with young individuals facing various challenges and collaborating with community members on social enterprise projects. In addressing marginalized community needs, P2EINT is also developing the "FemPowered Islands Initiative" which seeks to dismantle barriers against female advancement, constrained resources and market dimensions, transportation and logistical quagmires, a dearth of guiding figures, and limited access to education and technology. P2EINT aims to achieve this by fostering empowerment amongst female entrepreneurs nestled in the European Islands through a strategic educational blend of peer-learning, technological proficiency, international alliances, and cohesive collaboration with project allies and stakeholders who are at the helm of island advancement. In this way, P2EINT closely aligns with the Erasmus+ priorities of digital transformation and inclusion and diversity, as well as with the E+ agenda of transboundary mobility and collaboration, and territorial growth.
P2EI has also been instrumental in the training of trainers and educators, developing resources at Level 7 for train-the-trainer programs spanning various domains, including social enterprise, employability, health and safety, hospitality and tourism, intrapreneurship, Islamic Banking and Finance, and STEM career development. The E Squared team, under P2EI's umbrella, has created a wide range of teaching and learning tools, from mind mapping to interactive training materials, for the benefit of the EU, India, and beyond. E Squared continues its commitment to developing training resources that support enterprise and employability, thus furthering the mission of P2EI in empowering individuals for a brighter future.
