Palma Nana Soc. Coop

The cooperative works since 1983 for the tutelage of the Sicilian environment and for the dissemination of environmental sensibility.

It organises stages, training course and workshops with schools; in the WWF accredited Centre for Environmental education Serra Guarneri, in the Madonie Mountain Park, it organinses residential trainigs and summer camps. The cooperative is also in the circles of Responsible tourism, in environmental and anti-mafia netwroks.

Educational goals
-To stimulate citizens’ sense of interest and love for nature
-To facilitate tighter links between citizens and their territory
-To rediscover a form of active and direct knowledge of surrounding territory
-To stimulate civic behaviours of involvement and active participation in environmental decision-making and policies
-To build tthe ability to connect local dynamics to environmental phenomena at the global scale
-To produce behaviour changes in people and communities.
