Open Cultural Center

Based in Barcelona, we are an association that works towards the inclusion and empowerment of refugees by addressing our activities to both host country nationals and third country nationals.

Currently have two programs of action in the association. The first program includes projects aimed towards providing information, raising awareness, sensitivity and cultural exchange throughout Spain from an artistic, educational and linguistic perspective. The main project is called Refuge Culture which includes participative workshops and group dynamics in schools, photo and arts exhibitions created by volunteers and refugees, and the coordination of Arabic classes led by refugees hosted in Barcelona.

The second program includes project management activities to support our cooperation projects in Greece through which we have set up four non-formal schools in refugee camps in the past two years. From Barcelona we manage project concept desing, human resources in terms of recruitment, training before departure and partnerships, accounting, communication & social medias and fundraising.
