--OUR MISSION--

Officina Nuova Dimensione Europea (ONDE) APS is a nonprofit organization in Italy. Founded in 2022, ONDE focuses on the personal and professional development, education, and capacity building of young people to promote equal, inclusive and peaceful societies.

Taking inspiration from the sea, ONDE centers on creating powerful change in the lives of youth through training, workshops, courses and special events. Our specialties are human rights activism with an emphasis on diversity, inclusion and migrant issues, communications and professional training, arts, culture and media projects, and mentorship. We believe that young people are catalysts for change in their communities and we help them tap into the infinite trove of resources already lying within them. We strive to inspire them to abandon performative activism and discover, instead, the true power of their voices.

--OUR WORK--

ONDE is a young organization that helps youth develop professional and personal skills with trained specialists, to grow beyond their borders, dismantle stereotypes, and become better informed and more active citizens. The organization’s focus is on building skills that enable youth to speak up and act on a variety of human rights, migrant and inclusion issues.

ONDE and its staff seek to realize and promote the following activities in our local community:
- human rights education workshops and projects;
- creative writing and digital storytelling workshops with an emphasis on celebrating diversity and inclusion;
- interactive English gatherings, reading club and courses with native speakers;
- Café Interculturale, monthly community gathering to meet people from different backgrounds, and discuss different Italian, European and world issues affecting young people and minorities, to find ways to build a more inclusive local community;
- media literacy workshops and events to combat misinformation, fake news and cyberviolence;
- social media activism workshops, using social media to promote peace and human rights;
- mentoring, coaching and guidance for individuals and/or small groups of young people on the process of personal and professional development including business writing workshops, CV and cover letter assistance, interview preparation and professional clothes donation drives;
- communications and public speaking workshops aimed at boosting self-confidence and self-awareness to master using persuasive language to inspire others;
- info days with high school and university students, promoting European opportunities and programs;
- tolerance workshops to foster welcoming and inclusive community building.

At the international level, ONDE has not yet participated in an Erasmus+ project but our staff has years of experience collaborating with other local NGOs on a variety of KA1 and KA2 projects, as well as dissemination activities.

Additionally, ONDE’s staff has experience with people demonstrating fewer opportunities, focusing on improving their social inclusion, in particular people experiencing economic, geographical and social difficulties. At the local level, our organization works with NEET, unemployed youth, migrants and racial minorities.
