"Odlar Yurdu" Youth Public Union

“Odlar Yurdu” Youth Public Union was established on June 15, 2012 by a group of young people in Ganja, Azerbaijan. Our organization has implemented many projects that support and strengthen the ideas of young people. As a result of our activities over the past 10 years, about 10 thousand young people have benefited from various projects and activities. Our Union has been a partner in 26 projects held in 17 different countries (Italy, Norway, Romania, Hungary, Turkey, Greece, Ukraine, Georgia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Germany, Netherlands, etc.). In addition, as a Youth Union, we have represented Azerbaijan in 6 different countries and in different projects. (Belgium, Croatia, Romania, Greece, Turkey, Georgia). In total, about 100 young people have participated in these projects.

Our target groups are as follows:
– Youth in the regions aged 14-29;
– Women and young girls aged 14-29;
– Social groups aged 14-29 in need of special care.

During 2019, our association implemented 3 local projects related to active citizenship (“Imadaddin Nasimi – the value of 650 years”), entrepreneurship (“I Entrepreneurship Forum of the District Youth”) and environmental protection (“II Summer School of Young Volunteers “Environment and Me”). During 2019, small projects, events and other activities were implemented in various regions of Azerbaijan.
In 2020, based on international experience, the “First International Online Forum of Entrepreneurs – Baku 2020” was held to encourage entrepreneurs during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and post-pandemic period. A project called “VolunteerYou” was implemented to spread the philosophy of volunteerism among young people. This project was first implemented in Ganja city in 2015, and then in Ganja and Baku cities in 2018 and 2019.
The “Development of Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment in Rural Areas” project was held from September 7, 2020 to April 7, 2021. The main goal of the project was to develop entrepreneurship, provide employment, and improve the well-being of low-income rural residents in the villages of Buynuz, Khanegah, Topchu, Tazakend, Sumaganli and Lahij settlement of Ismayilli district. The training covered topics such as “Professional Customer Service”, “Sale of Guest Houses”, “Cash Management”, “Customer Communication Methods”, etc. 15 villagers had the privilege of participating in the initiative. Finally, in 2021, the 2nd “Brave Heart” Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Forum was held in Ganja city. 60 young people from different regions participated in the project.
