Norske Vandrerhjem/Hostelling International Norway

Norske Vandrerhjem or Hostelling International Norway is a non-governmental organization with an aim of promoting peace through travel and cultural exchange. Our target group is young people wanting to experience both nature and other cultures through travel - and we believe this leads to less prejudices and a more peaceful world. We have 61 hostels spread all over Norway which are very different, but all of them work with young people and for understanding. We want to be an accomodation provider which is more than just a bed - but great experiences as well. In addition to the hostels, we offer various activities and sustainability initiatives at our premises. We have broad experience with working with youth from all over the world, in addition to a strong international network through Hostelling International. There are many activities in our hostels, such as a social volunteer program, city walks, hiking etc. We are experts in welcoming people from all over the world and are looking to cooperate with motivated youth open for a challenge and a life changing experience in Norway! Hostelling International Norway has some experience with hosting volunteers through their Social Volunteer Program (see www.volunteering.no) and are now looking for 1-2 motivated EVS volunteers.
