Nordic Diaspora Forum

They are a very energetic umbrella organisation, who has a holistic approach in our work to give the diaspora organisations the same conditions and members the same conditions and opportunities, as the rest of the society.
NDF's work is based on the core values of equity volunteerism, pro-activity, interdependence, quality and representation. The organization wants to become that necessary impulse for positive social changes in the future.
They have the following objectives:
- To create networks and communities that will gather young people interested in social, cultural, educational, ecological, economical topics;
- To develop a counseling, educational and well updated process of young people in a European context;
- To provide support, information and social assistance to disadvantaged and marginalized young people;
- To stimulate the development of NGOs sector through activities which will increase their involvement in decisional
process and in promoting democracy, freedom, justice, responsibility and solidarity.
Concretely, NDF contributed to the democratic development, by raising awareness of the existence of equal opportunities for all, organizing gender workshops and conferences and an organized campaign to counter racism and discrimination. It seeks to ensure that young people are empowered to develop the skills and confidence to fully
participate as active citizens, in an inclusive society.
