NGO Osvobojdenie-1884

We are a community center "Osvobozdenie-1884". We are located in the village of Sheinovo in the central part of Bulgaria in the famous Thracian Valley.
The mission of the National Community Center "Osvobojdenie-1884" is related to the creation, preservation and dissemination of spiritual values, development of creative abilities and satisfaction of cultural needs and interests of citizens, creation of conditions for communication between people, support and organization of cultural and economic Initiatives and projects, the development of social and educational activities and the provision of access to information.
The aims of the National Community Center are to meet the needs of the citizens related to: development and enrichment of cultural life, social and educational activity in the village of Sheinovo, preservation of the customs and traditions of the Bulgarian people, enlargement of citizens' knowledge and their inclusion in the values and achievements of Science, art and culture, educating and consolidating national self-awareness, providing access to information.

In order to achieve its goals the National Community Center performs the following main activities: maintains a library and reading room, develops and supports amateur art, organizes, circles, clubs, celebrations, concerts, celebrations and youth activities, collects and disseminates knowledge about the native end.
There is a folk singing club, a club for authentic Bulgarian dances, a traditional crafts club, an art club, an English language school.
The National Community Center participates in festivals of folk art, in initiatives related to the preservation of the intangible cultural heritage of Bulgaria, in fairs of crafts.

The culture heritage offers important educational and volunteering opportunities for both young and older people and promotes dialogue between different cultures and generations.

We are looking for partners who are interested in preserving the culture of Europe. We believe that cultural dialogue and knowledge will contribute to preserving our common European cultural heritage.
