Nene Hatun Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School

Our school is located in the centre of Van, east of Turkey. Its history dates back 6 years with warm , friendly and cooperative staff. It has been a bridge between attentive parents , promising students and diligent teachers. Not only our teachers but also administration and parents are willing to help each individual student to be the best , to do their utmost and to handle with the difficulties they may come across in the path they follow.
There are 70 teachers from different branches and 1100 students in our school. We have 33 classrooms , a library, 5 labs ,a dormitory, a conference hall and an administrative area.
Classes consist of approximately 30 students. Students have to attend 8 hours of classes per day. They learn such various subjects as Maths , Science , History , Art , Physical Education , Geography , Religious Lessons and Music. We provide our students with English as foreign language.There are 5 vocational departments in our school such as child development, information technologies,costume design,beauty and hair care, family and consumer sciences.
International cooperation with students from other countries is not so clear for many of our students. Therefore meeting and being involved in the same activities and the communicating will be great opportunity to learn about the participating countries and learn about the problems of each country. The other important thing is to have a common goal in a project and try to find ways to achieve that goal.Our school would like to take part in cooperation activities because we want to teach our students responsibility , individual initiative and freedom , balanced with social responsibility and team spirit. Also we want to motivate our students , develop their linguistic skills and raise their expectations. We want our students to be aware that everybody has the same rights to live and different values to protect.
