Museum of Operation Avalanche

The Operation Avalanche was one of the most important military operations of World War II, surpassed only by the Normandy landing.
The MOA "Museum of Operation Avalanche", set in the ancient monastery of Sant'Antonio, was born in Eboli on September 9th 2012 with the aim of bringing to light events,documents,places and characters linked to the landing.
The museum has a multimedial and tridimensional space that through pictures,videos,images and evidences can tell all the happenings liked to the Operation Avalanche.
The MOA,that is a great cultural container promotes a lot of activities like:
-involving new generations in the preservation of an historical memory;
-encouraging young people to reflect and discuss about fundamental priciples like democracy,freedom ,human rights and peace;
-promoting european citizenship,tolerance and intercultural dialogue;
-supporting youth initiatives in the fields of culture and sustainable development of the territories;
-organizing activities of non formal education,guided tours,workshops and exibits.
