Municipal center for extracurricular activities

The ecology club has been active for 10 yrars.From this year the center has been working on the interactive „Green packet” during classes (which the pupils chose).They have one lesson a week.The „Green packet” is a book of the regional ecology centre for Central and Eastern Europe.We wanted to heap the pupils and parents opionion first.The film ”Kids and birds” has been created by the students from the ecology club “Danube”.They are script-writers,actors and operators.We all live with the problems and pain of our favourite river Danube-participation in the International Festival ‘Ecofilm’ – Rodos, Greece, 21-26 June 2005, http://www.ecofilms.gr/default.htm
We are organizing “The European days of birds-the 2 nd and the 3 d of October, the international day of river Danube.The children make feeding-troughs for the winter, they clean the riverbank.They take part in many festivals and win lots of prizes.In this way populize their knowledges about that how to clean and save our wonderful friends. Participation in STELLA.The STELLA eBook ‘Science Education in European Schools – Selected Practices from the STELLA Catalogue’ illustrates selected practices identified from the STELLA Catalogue of Science Education Initiatives. One chapter for each of the countries which participate in the STELLA project, i.e. Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy and Portugal, describes the practices selected from the respective country. Moreover, a particular eTwinning section is dedicated to selected examples of eTwinning school collaboration projects that deal with maths, science and technology (MST).

‘Astro Party Baykal’ in included for third year in the national calendar for extracurricula activities during the school year 2009/10 of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport with Minister’s Order.
We have last experience with Youth Programme- Youth in action- Turkey in 2007- Sivas Educators’ Association- Contact Making Seminar in Sivas, Turkey from 23rd to 25th of November 2007, „Common Steps for Democracy”, Youth Programme, 2010 - ”Cartoon on Gender Equality”, Youth in action and 2011-Sivas, “Hand in hand for reading”.
We are members of the national folklore associacion Sofia, Astronomy association Sofia and European associacion for astronomy education/EAAE/.
Ecoclub ‘Danube’ is a member of BSBP and an associated member of BirdLife Intenational – Belgium.
