Mundekulla is a regenerative retreat center, conference facility, and ecolodge nestled in 55 hectares of dark forests and meadows in Småland, southern Sweden. For over 25 years, it has served as a unique "conflection point" where nature, humans, and organisations find balance through mindful action and sustainable living.

Our mission is to demonstrate how entrepreneurship, land care, and human development can strengthen each other in a circular ecosystem. We believe that healthy individuals collaborate better in organisations, which in turn find the strength to invest in and live in harmony with a healthy nature.

As a committed host for the ESC, we welcome up to eight volunteers annually from April to November. Our program is designed for hands-on sustainability learning, where participants "own an outcome" within five specialised pillars:
- Regenerative Gardening & Biodiversity: Soil care, permaculture food production, and harvesting.
- Circular Gastronomy: Plant-based cooking with professional chefs and food preservation.
- Eco-building & Maintenance: Caring for infrastructure using eco-materials and practical repair skills.
- Sustainable Forestry: Balancing safety and biodiversity across 55 hectares of forest.
- Regenerative Hospitality: Guest excellence, logistics, and reception management.

The Mundekulla culture is built on Idea Meritocracy, Personal Growth, and Radical Transparency. Volunteers are not just helpers and learners but are empowered to contribute their own creativity and ideas to their assigned domains. We provide a structured daily rhythm that includes department work, morning check-ins, and dedicated weekly time for self-reflection and the Youthpass process.

Inclusion and Diversity are core to our identity. We actively reach out to young people with fewer opportunities—including those facing economic, social, health, or geographical barriers—providing reinforced mentorship and adapted tasks to ensure a safe and transformative experience for everyone. At Mundekulla, volunteering is more than work; it is a step toward becoming an active, responsible citizen of Europe and the world.
