The Green Campus Coordination Office at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKÜ) functions as a university-wide coordination structure that brings together academic staff, students, and administrative teams to promote sustainability, climate awareness, and ecological responsibility across the campus. The Coordination Office develops and facilitates activities related to biodiversity, environmental monitoring, zero-waste practices, green mobility, water and energy awareness, and student-led sustainability initiatives.
We design and run workshops, awareness campaigns, biodiversity field observations, and campus-based sustainability actions. Our team collaborates with different academic departments—including Biology, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Forestry, Architecture, and Computer Engineering—to integrate scientific knowledge into practical sustainability activities and to turn the campus into a living environment for hands-on learning.
The Coordinating Office also supports student engagement by leading programs such as the Student Sustainability Ambassadors, where students from diverse faculties take active roles in green actions, data collection, and community engagement. We encourage interdisciplinary teamwork and empower students to contribute to environmental solutions.
In addition to campus-based activities, we are actively involved in European project development focusing on topics such as green skills, biodiversity, digital sustainability tools, climate education, and sustainable campus transformation. Through international collaboration, we aim to strengthen our university’s contribution to global sustainability goals and build a more resilient and environmentally aware campus community.
