Mreža udruga Zagor (Network of associations Zagor)

The Network of associations Zagor brings together youth associations and associations for youth from the Krapina-Zagorje County, and was established in 2007 as a result of the initiative of youth and youth associations in the Krapina-Zagorje County. Zagor works with young people.
Zagor develops its activities through three programs: Civil society development and inter-sector cooperation; Volunteer program “VolontirAJMO”; Youth Center. The Association has recognized the importance of international cooperation and the development of the 4th, new program - Development of the Association in the international context is underway.
1. Civil society development and inter-sector cooperation is aimed at creating a stimulating environment and unification of regional development of civil society in the Republic of Croatia, development of active citizenship and social capital in local communities, promotion and strengthening of intersectoral cooperation, strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations and connecting citizens, especially young people with civil society organizations.
2. Volunteer program “VolontirAJMO”, which aims to promote and develop support for volunteering and strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations for organized volunteering, promoting volunteering among young people and citizens of all generations. The association runs a Volunteer Service and a Volunteer Center.
3. Youth Center, which aims to provide opportunities for young people to spend free time, improve the quality of life of young people in the local and regional community, provide support to civil society organizations through their own activities (technical support) and implement the County Action Program for KPC youth and the implementation and support of the implementation of youth programs at the local level. The Youth Center has been operating since 2009.
4. Development of the association in the international context. This program is under development and aims to develop a partnership and collaborative relationship with organizations outside the borders of the Republic of Croatia. Through international partnership and cooperation to enable the exchange of knowledge and skills, introduction to foreign cultures, customs, languages, new innovative opportunities and ways of learning and transferring knowledge and skills. Opening new perspectives and insights for a possible solution in the local community where the associations operate. Development of community, solidarity and intercultural understanding.
We have been developing this program intensively over the last two years (starting in 2011) through the work of the organization and the desire to strengthen our position at the international level. As a separate program, we implement it in order to better position and strengthen the work at the international, especially European level.
Zagor focuses its work on all young people between the ages of 15 and 30, so in its activities it includes high school students, students, young employed and unemployed people, young people with fewer opportunities and young people belonging to the NEET group.
Zagor finances projects and programs from various sources, local, regional, national, international and EU funds.
