The Youth and Culture Center BERTRAND LE CHEVREL is a 1901 association affiliated to the League of Education of Calvados. It organizes recreational socio-cultural activities and sports, in recreation centers for children and youth from 3 to 18 years. It manages a Watersports Centre MPT at a lake near Vire. All activities are implemented in order to promote the values of public education.
The structure is located in a rural environment the “Bocage Virois” The city has an important historical and artistic heritage and a pool and dynamic economic development.
Cultural life is very developed, Vire has a national stage and a cinema-theater-in-residence for the reception of acting groups and the implementation of a cultural season, municipal and private music schools.It annually hosts a summer festival of street arts recognized in the region.
The MJC is actively involved in the community education projects in which it has a key role and is focusing its activities with the municipal structures and associations on maximizing the impact on audience, mainly children and young people.
