SOCIAL CULTURE, INCLUSION, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, ENVIRONMENT AND YOUTH ASSOCIATION (SOCIETY-DER) was established in 2023 in Mersin, Turkey. The association was established by people who are experienced and equipped in youth work in order to increase the quality of youth work in Mersin.
The association has a total of 27 members and 82 volunteers.
SOCIETY-DER works especially to fulfill the following missions:
- Participation in decision-making mechanisms, increasing the capacity of non-governmental organizations
-To be able to provide solutions to the priority needs and problems of the society and to contribute to social development
- To provide education in social, cultural and vocational fields for young people and adults in the light of lifelong learning principle.
- Fighting all kinds of addictions
- Supporting disadvantaged groups, young people with fewer opportunities and groups at social risk
- Ensuring the integration of immigrants into society with their problems and solutions
- Prohibition of discrimination and fight against discrimination
-Social security and social protection
-Access to education and training services, inclusive curriculum
-Protection of children and young people against the risk of exclusion cycles
- Increasing awareness of human rights, democracy and active citizenship
Make the Most of It empowers disadvantaged youth to build confidence and employability through participatory learning and a youth led Virtual Job Center.
This project will promote access and participation of disadvantaged groups in digital entrepreneurship aims to promote an entrepreneurial mindset,
The EKOvisa project aims to empower youth workers with the necessary skills and knowledge to foster sustainable development.
